Did you know that LCE has a specific route for you to follow when dropping off and picking up your students from LCE?

Please compare your daily route against this map. Are you:

  • Following the correct flow of traffic?
  • Staying off the residential streets that are closed to car traffic (Fairview, Salisbury, Grand, Fernside) unless you live on those streets?
  • Abiding by the no right-turn and no left-turn signs on the map?

If not, please adjust your traffic flow route.

General rules to also follow:

  • NO stopping in crosswalks or where the curb is red. This includes while sitting in carline. Especially important is the Encinas/Salisbury/Lasheart intersection where children are walking to and from school, and the carline corner of La Cañada Blvd. and Fernside.
  • DO NOT cut in carline. Follow the flow of traffic on the map, and do not make an illegal turn to cut into carline (especially from Fernside or Fairview). Respect other drivers who have been patiently waiting in the carline.
  • DO NOT block our neighbors' driveways.
  • Follow the NO U-TURN signs. When leaving carline or parking spots on Encinas and La Cañada Blvd., please follow this rule.
  • DO NOT PARK (even if you stay in the car and let your child jump out) WHERE THE CURB IS RED.  We need to protect our children in the crosswalk.
