Help LCE celebrate Earth Week, April 14-18!
Recycled Bottle Cap Donations:
From April 7-11, please donate recycled plastic bottle caps to help us create a large-scale art mural around the 2025 Earth Day theme, "Our Power, Our Planet." Place your recycled bottle caps in the color-sorted bins in front of the school at morning drop-off. All sizes and colors of circular plastic bottle caps are needed!
Earth Week Art Walk & Contest:
Students may choose to print and color one of our Earth Day coloring pages or draw their own picture that represents the 2025 Earth Day theme, “Our Power, Our Planet,” to submit to our Earth Week Art Walk which will be held on Friday, April 18. The class with the most student submissions will be announced on Earth Day, April 22 and win a prize! Our school-wide Earth Day art mural project also will be on display at the Art Walk. The Earth Day coloring pages are available to download for printing here.
Earth Week Themed Days:
Monday, 4/14: Receive a special Earth Day sticker when you help create our recycled bottle cap mural at recess!
Tuesday, 4/15: Wear blue and green to celebrate our planet Earth!
Wednesday, 4/16: Volunteer to be a trash collector at lunch!
Thursday, 4/17: Turn in art submissions for Earth Day Art Walk.
Friday, 4/18: Walk, Bike and Roll to School Day, PLUS enjoy the Earth Day Art Walk on display in the cafeteria during parent-child lunch!
